Walia Charity Association in North America was founded on the deep commitment to uplift and empower one of the most underserved communities in Ethiopia: Adiarkay and Telemt, located in the North Gondar Zone. We believe that geographic isolation and poverty should not dictate a person’s destiny and that targeted, collective effort can dramatically transform lives.
Our focus is hyper-local and deeply personal, recognizing that effective change begins by supporting the individuals and families who are most vulnerable within the community structure.
Our mission statement is to provide vital support to the most vulnerable populations in Adiarkay and Telemt, North Gondar Zone, Ethiopia. Specifically, we focus on empowering disadvantaged children, single parents, and senior adults, striving to break cycles of poverty and foster hope.
