Walia Charity Association Delivers 800,000 Birr Grain Aid in Adi Arkay

The North America-established Walia Charity Association provided substantial aid, distributing 150 quintals of sorghum (mashila)—valued at 800,000 Birr—to low-income residents in Adi Arkay town. This crucial support, delivered on October 20, 2025, benefited 1,000 vulnerable single parents’ children, including the elderly and those with disabilities.

The distribution was efficiently managed by Walia Association’s local branch coordinators in collaboration with the Godolyas Elderly Assistance Association.

Woreda Administrator Ato Desalegn Abate praised the association’s charitable work and affirmed the Woreda’s commitment to supporting Walia’s plan to construct an Elderly Assistance Center in the town. We extend deep gratitude to the collaborating Godolyas Elderly Assistance Association and Woreda agricultural experts.
